Back in high school, I became obsessed with Polyvore. The fashion-collaging site allowed you to put together outfit mood boards that allowed my style exploration to unfold for hours, sitting bleary-eyed in front of my computer imagining what it would be like to have the kind of bank account that allows for such wild moments of dress-up.

When I wasn't using the app to daydream, I liked it for helping me figure out how to put together pieces I already owned. I would search for similar items and allow my creativity to run wild. It was almost like that scene in Clueless where Cher's computer helps her get dressed. Almost.

A recent creation, featuring a Shrimps coat, Saint Laurent dress, Acne sunglasses, Amelie Pichard mules and a Ferragamo bag.

And now that I've been sick with bronchitis for the last week, I've returned to my old pastime, simultaneously feeling the highs of my imagination soaring and the lows of knowing I can't (currently) afford any of these clothes. Ah, a girl can dream!

A spacey set with an Anya Hindmarch pouch, Golden Goose jacket, Saint Laurent platforms, Prada sunglasses and a Courreges skirt.

A spring-y set: Maryam Nassir Zadeh sandals, a Mark Cross box bag, Markus Lupfer skirt, Cutler & Gross sunglasses and a Theory jacket.

If you wanna follow me on Polyvore (do people still do that?) head on over here. Let's have some silly collaging fun, at least until this bronchitis leaves me alone.
